Mustang Trek
The long forbidden region of upper Mustang and the walled city of Lo Manthang are now open to a limited number of foreign trekkers, just 300 tourists in a year. Mustang is one of the few places in the world that is still untrammeled by tourists; it is most important that the region preserve its natural state. In common usage, the name Mustang refers to the arid Tibet-like region at the northern end of the Kali Gandaki, which is known to its inhabitants as Lo. The trek to Lo is through an almost treeless barren landscape. Strong winds usually in the afternoon, generally subsiding at night. Being in the rain shadow of the Himalayas, Lo has much less rain than the rest of Nepal, through the skies is cloudy and there is same rain during the monsoon. In the winter there is usually snow, sometimes as much as 30-40 centimeters on the ground. There is more rain in the lower part of upper Mustang and the hills tend to be great red fluted cliffs of tiny round stones cemented together by mud. Villages are several hours apart and appear in the distance almost as mirages; during the summer season, after the crops are planted, they are green oases in the desert like landscape The trekking season is from late March to early November. This trek does not go to really high elevation, but the cold, dust and very strong winds can make the trek less pleasant than others in Nepal.

The trek around Annapurna massif is one of the finest in the Himalayas. This 23 days program takes you right around the great Annapurna massif, visiting a Tibet like country on the northern slopes of the Himalayas and into the dramatic Kali Gandaki gorge-the deepest in the world. This is a long course that follows Marsyangdi River, crosses Thorung pass (5416m) from the Manang basin and descends to the Kali Gandaki. It is rich in variety and vistas from the ruling hill of Marsyangdi to the Himalayan interior, providing the complete trekking experience. The change of scenery at the limits of Thorung pass and the remains around the sacred area of Muktinath are also extremely interesting. Trekking north we acclimatize in the important trading village of Manang (3351m), before crossing the Thorung pass. Further south, the contrast of the Nepali Himalayas become even more apparent, as high wind swept passes are replaced by forest or mandarins and banana grooves. Finally, we trek out the gorges and look back to the peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri before traversing the forest ridges down to Pokhara.

Out off by a series of very high passes closed by snow most of the year, Doipa remains a truly isolated corner of Nepal. Time has stood still here for centuries as the inhabitants of Tibetan stock continue to live, cultivate and commerce the way they have done since time immemorial. The finely preserved eco-system encompasses a wildlife, including the blue sheep and the snow Leopard. A trek through Dolpa is an experience not easily forgotten

Mani Rimdu Festival Trek
This festival is celebrated at the monasteries of Tengboche, Thami and Chiwang right after the full moon of autumn. The monks, with elaborate masks and costumes on, perform a series of ritualistic dances of the triumph of Buddhism over Bon, the ancient animistic religion of Tibet. On the first day of the festival, Lamas of the monastery pray in the courtyard. The second day, you can see the Lamas dancing with brocade gowns and wonderful painted paper-mouth masks. Hundreds of Sherpas from all over Khumbu attend the performance, as it is an important social occasion as well as an entertaining spectacle. Along with the serious and intricate dances the Lamas also dramatize two absurd comic sequences that make the entire performance a grand and amusing event. On the final evening of Mani Rimdu the villagers join in an all-night Sherpa dance. We have following trips of Kala Patthar-Everest Base Camp which allows you to grace the festivals at Tengboche and Chiwang Monastery. Actual dates of festival for the year 2003 are yet to be finalized
